Your next stay is but a click away
Avoid disappointing yourself, as well as putting a crazy amount of pressure on the staff by booking as far in advance as possible. With that done and dusted, you’ll have peace of mind that your accommodation is all sorted for the duration of your stay. A day before the trip, print or download your confirmation letter, which makes checking in run a lot more efficiently.
Once you've arrived at your hotel, head straight to the registration desk and hand the hotel staff member your confirmation letter. From this point, it should be fairly quick and easy to complete your check-in. A ‘Thank you!’ goes a long way - don’t forget to do so upon receiving your room key.
Our home is your home
Once you've entered your room, do a mini inspection to see if everything is satisfactory. Should anything be broken, ensure that you inform the reception at the beginning of your stay. You don’t want to end up with the blame should you wait until the last minute.
In most cases, you are not the only guest on the floor. Keep your music and/or television volume at a decent level as to not disrupt the other guests. Should you be experiencing noisy neighbours, give the reception desk a call and inform them right away. We highly recommend never to take on such a battle yourself.
As comfortable as those white bathroom robes are, never take reusable items home with you. Not only for hygiene reasons, but because they simply do not belong to you and replacing the item will cost the hotel. Opt for consumable items instead such as the shampoo, soaps and lotions. Alternatively, there's almost always a gift shop on-site or close by where one can purchase memorabilia.
Keep it clean
Housekeeping have many rooms to clean in a day so it is important to be mindful of this. Ensure they see your face and not any other bits – best to make sure you're fully clothed!
