December at The Rockwell Hotel – 2017

Halloween has come and gone again. Costumes were impressive, music was live, entrance was free and if you missed out on our Urban Garden bash – Vampire Blood and Monster Mist cocktails included, well, that’s not on us, sister. However, because we’re kind and generous and everyone knows how much we like to brag about The Rockwell Cafe & Bar, there’s an ongoing summer cocktail special between 5pm and 7pm daily.

December at The Rockwell Hotel

Don’t let Halloween passing put you off visiting our new The Rockwell Urban Garden. Join us for lunch and afternoon drinks, and don’t forget… if you’re a resident or work within a 3km radius of the hotel, we offer the ‘Neighbourly Love’ Project. This means 10% off all food and non-alcoholic beverages when presenting it on payment, as well as numerous other bonuses. Collect yours today and receive a free cappuccino, just because we love you.

More means more at The Rockwell, so we’re going to insist you eat MORE. We’re running a 2 burgers for R110 special, and because your summer body is already sorted… cough… we insist you don’t feel guilty about indulging in arguably the best burgers in Cape Town at such a steal.

Whether you’ll be staying at our hotel over the festive season or just don’t feel like the schlep of dishes and potential burnt food drama in your own home, be sure to look into our Christmas Lunch at the Rockwell Theatre. At R450 per person and R225 for children between 3 and 12, it’s the ultimate way for merriment to commence without dishes ensuing. Round up the family and join the Khayelitsha Gospel Choir for an afternoon of cheer. Santa will be dropping in – although we don’t have a chimney, so we may have to look into that. For more details and your scrumptious menu, click here.

A new year is coming, which only validates, nay, requires a jolly farewell to the current one. 2017 has been interesting, to say the least, make the last few hours of it indelible at our New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner Show at The Rockwell Theatre with a special edition of our award-winning Kaapse Stories from the Mother City. R1950 gets you a gourmet dinner, endless entertainment, including our show and resident jazz band, a DJ that will be keeping you on your feet after the Kaapse Klopse procession. Kids aged 3-12 pay half price. Book here before it’s too late.

Besides being your home away from home with some of the most spacious accommodation in Cape Town, we also offer modern conference and event facilities, able to host small to large groups of people and cater to all your needs.

If you’re void of ideas on what to do this weekend, here are some options within a 5km radius of the hotel:

Enjoy the Cape Town Festival of Beer at the Hamilton’s Rugby Club from Friday (1st) through to Sunday (3rd). It’s compulsory to buy a R30 glass upon arrival. Tickets are available on Webtickets and prices vary depending on the night.

The Cape Town Opera presents The Magic Flute until the 10th at the Artscape Theatre. There are only 6 shows in total, so be sure to visit Computicket before it’s too late.

Say Love presents The Gift of Water, a photography exhibition at One11 Loop Street Gallery that runs until Monday, free of charge. In this time of water crisis in our beautiful city, it seems fitting.

Be sure to check out our follow up blog on how you and The Rockwell can save water together.

We’ll be back again soon. Maybe.

Be nice, stay busy, save water.
