To protect our staff and future guests, The Rockwell All-Suite Hotel & Apartments, along with our Dinner Theater, will be closing its doors from the 26th of March till the 16th of April, complying with the nationwide SA Lock down.
While we may not be on-site, our team is still available to answer queries, confirm future reservations, and make amendments to your future bookings. Additionally our team remains dedicated to maintaining the highest level of hygiene standards at home and in our hotel. Before, throughout, and after the lock down. Stay Safe, and let’s all strive to #flattenthecurve

We’re back with some great news!

In not-so-surprising contrast to last weekend, it is Cape Town after all, the sun will be blessing us and to encourage you to get out and about too, you can have your breakfast and lunch outside in the piazza.

This weekend only - 29th & 30th July, we have a 40% discount ‘Madness Special’ going on our B&B hotel suites, leaving heaps of extra cash in your pocket to find the right activities for you to bask in the lovely weather in. Quote the promo code: madness in the comments section upon reservation.

Unfortunately, the Table Mountain Cable Way will be closed for annual maintenance until 6th August, but fret not! If you’re stumped on what to do, don’t worry, we’ve got some suggestions. Enjoy Ultra Mussels at Den Anker at the V&A on Saturday from 12pm - 4pm for R260pp. What better way to celebrate sunshine at the seaside than indulging in a kilogram of mussels? There will also be wine tasting available as a 40 year winemakers celebration takes place, the perfect excuse to find the ultimate wine pairing for your mussels. More details here.

We know, we know, we’ve been urging you to get outside, but The Fugard Theatre is hosting the story of famed 1950s boxer, Ezekiel Dlamini in King Kong The Musical. It is ongoing until September though, so enjoy the weather this weekend and come back and stay with us again another time… what more of a sign do you need that you should be visiting the Rockwell again?

We’re happy to have you lounging about in-house too this weekend. Join us for #SuperSaturdays @ The Rockwell in the bar to watch the Lions take on the Hurricanes at 14:30. Snack away on our baskets (chicken wings, samosas, kebabs, spring rolls and chips) for only R95 each and get an extra beer for free when you pay for a bucket of 5.

If you’ve yet to book to see our cousin, Barry Hilton @ The Rockwell next Friday, 4th August, there’s still limited seating available. Tickets are available here

One last blessing from us to you before we sign off for the weekend to go and let our hair down and enjoy an umbrella drink the size of one of our suites’ bathtubs, is our suggestion for YOUR year end function.

If you’re bored of Janis from HR getting drunk by 3pm and crying about her cats on the photocopier like she does every year, then we have an option that we’re certain would be a welcome change. The Rockwell Dinner Theatre will be hosting Kaapse Stories from the Mother City, an award winning show directed by Basil Appollis that’s been played over 1200 times that we guarantee will transport you and your staff to the dazzling world of District 6 via the Kleintjies family. This beautiful production will be accompanied by a welcome drink on arrival and a 4-course meal of authentic Cape Cuisine. For every booklet of 10 or more, you save R800, standard tickets being R480 a head. Give Janis a break this year and let us cover the entertainment. For more info visit, call us on 076 144 4809 or email us at

That’s all from us for this week, we have questionable Hawaiian shirts to don and a place at the bar to occupy.
